Kolb Should Get The Start
It’s Friday, which means that most teams are finished with their practice week, and are vigorously studying their upcoming opponents. Some key players will not be suiting up this Sunday, but their backups will be salivating at a chance to prove their worth. While most teams are concerned with battling their next opponent, the Browns are concerned with battling themselves. There’s a lot going on in the NFL right now. Let’s take a look at some of the news around the NFL.
The Browns Even Beat Up On Themselves

A Typical Browns Fan
It’s bad enough that the Browns have looked like one of the worst teams in the NFL thus far…and now this? Rookie Coye Francies didn’t take to kindly to rookie hazing and allegedly threw a bucket of ice, and then punches, in the Browns locker room. Shaun Smith, of all people, actually broke up the fight and hauled Francies out of the locker room. At one point during the fight, Braylon Edwards apparently yelled “Welcome to the Browns locker room!” I’m not even sure any more has to be said.
Tomlinson Will Sit Out Again
LaDainian Tomlinson will miss his second consecutive game this Sunday with an ankle injury. Tomlinson may be a little gun shy about returning unless he is 100% healthy. Last season, Tomlinson played through a toe injury and put up sub par numbers. After an entire off-season of hearing whether he is still an elite running back, he would probably rather rest up and get return at the top of his game. Unfortunately, Tomlinson was a high draft pick in most fantasy leagues and has contributed nothing this season. Darren Sproles looks like a good spot start this week against the Dolphins. Just hope that LT is able to return next week, and starts putting up the numbers that everyone expects.
McNabb Doubtful, Kolb Steps In Again

Vick Returns This Week
Kevin Kolb will make his second consecutive start of the season this week for the Eagles. Donovan McNabb is doubtful, and should not play. The Eagles are hosting the 0-2 Chiefs, and the Eagles are on a bye next week. Kolb put up a nice yardage total last week, but he also played against the high powered Saints offense and was throwing to try and keep up the pace. Expect the Eagles to try and get Westbrook, who is also injured, or rookie LeSean McCoy involved early to take pressure off of Kolb. Also, Michael Vick returns this week. It should be interesting to see how the Eagles use Vick against the Chiefs. However, it doesn’t appear that Vick will get a chance to play quarterback all that much. Expect him to be in there on some Wildcat formations or gadget plays.
