Chris Cwik - Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, I developed a love of all things White Sox and Bears. While working at a crappy job one Summer, I read the book Moneyball, which changed my entire view of sports analysis. Whether it’s reading the latest Baseball Prospectus or browsing Deadspin, I am constantly trying to consume and learn more about sports. I can usually be found at the local coffee shop listening to the endless lists of indie music on my I-pod or reading. I recently graduated from Marquette University and am currently living in Milwaukee. I am also the only person I know to own both a David Carr and a Cedric Benson jersey.

Matt Montgomery - Born and reared in the Chicago suburbs. I’ve been a fan of Basketball, Baseball, and Football my whole life and I’m trying to get back into Hockey, come on Blackhawks! I am a recent graduate of Marquette’s broadcasting program with a minor in Math. A majority of my sports analysis is using Math in some capacity, thus, Math+Sports=Nerd Alert. My music tastes range from Classic Country to Swedish Melodic Death Metal. Although, my favorite concert is either Against Me! at the Rave in 2007 or Barenaked Ladies at the Chicago Theatre in 2004. I am currently tutoring high school Math and a News Producer at 620 WTMJ in Milwaukee. I’ve been employed at all times since 6th grade and the craziest thing I ever learned at a job was how to identify winning scratch-off lottery tickets.

rene

Rene Delombard- Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I’ve recently graduated from Florida State University and enrolled at law school at Florida International University in Miami. I’ve had a passion for sports as a little kid, where all I would watch before school was SportsCenter highlights all morning, even though it would be on repeat most of the time. We don’t have that problem anymore since it’s live now, and I’ve realized how consumed most of us are by the sports phenomenon. I’ve had various jobs related to sports and the law. One day, I plan on merging the two together and making a career out of it. I’m a heartbroken Dolphins, lucky Florida Marlins, content Miami Heat, and somehow a Florida Panthers fan. I always wear my Florida State basketball jersey when the football team is playing.

suerth

Brian Suerth – Profile: A high school English teacher once told me that she considered some of the greatest writers of our time to be sports writers. For the simple fact that they hold the ability to relate and connect what is going on in the world of sports to other facets of life. My hope is to somehow try and emulate that. Thanks for reading.

Marco Radendovich- I’m a 21 year-old senior at Marquette University. I’m a double major in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Finance. I got into writing during my sophomore year in highschool after my right elbow ligament blew out. Since I couldn’t play the sport I loved, I might as well write about it. If you know me, you know there are two things in this world that I really love – Fantasy Baseball and the Chicago Cubs. In my baseball articles, I’m going to say things that ESPN doesn’t tell you. I write with numbers, using statistics from “The Book” by Tom Tango, stats from Fangraphs.com and examining a lot of Pitch F/X. Baseball stats coming from a Serbian guy… crazy, aint it?

jacquie

Jacquie Franciulli-I am a University of Miami alum (GO CANES), who is obsessed with everything football. No not that football, soccer. Being born into a Brazilian/Italian household pretty much sealed the deal at the sport of choice. Add the fact that I lived most of my life in Europe, soccer is definitely my passion. I played right midfield during middle school and high school and have coached a little league team. I do love other sports including NFL and formula one racing but soccer is definitely the one for me. My love for commentating on matches came from doing the play by play commentary for my brothers while they played Madden, and you can say it never stopped.

Julia Lopez-I am currently a Senior at Colorado State University. I am earning my Bachelor degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Ethnic Studies. My ultimate sport to watch is definitely baseball (in person AND on TV) it’s just so relaxing. Favorite team you ask? Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Since I grew up in New Mexico I had the opportunity to choose who my team was going to be, and thanks to my pops, the Angels have been my team since I was born. I’ve played soccer for 16 years, and have had incredible experiences, but unfortunately, my meniscus is holding a grudge against me and has forced me to take a year off of soccer. Hopefully, when I graduate I’ll be able to join an adult league. I’ve played softball for 8 years . . . maybe that’s why I love baseball so much, because I understand the game and know what the players are going through (except the steroid era, of course). I played centerfield, greatest position ever. I looked up (and still do) to Ken Griffey Jr. when I was playing. His finesse is outta this world! I have plenty of work experience involving sports, and hope to continue on the same path once I graduate. All in all . . . sports rock!

mark

Mark Cunningham- I am currently a Senior at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was born in Philadelphia and raised right outside the city in Phoenixville, PA. My favorite sports team is the Utah Jazz, I breathe the Jazz and know everything there is to know about them. Other than the Jazz, I am also one of the biggest fantasy football fanatics around, and I consider myself one of the best experts out there. I have made the fantasy football playoffs every year in every league I have ever been in, so I would say Fantasy Football is kind of my niche. I also love politics. I am one of the most conservative people you will ever meet, and I know my stuff so it’s better to not argue with me. I also love country music. My favorite country singers include Phil Vassar, Brad Paisley, Jimmy Wayne, and Josh Turner. I have done a sports radio show for 3 years at Marquette with Monty and that has been one of my favorite things to do.
