Ole Miss sneaks past LSU in a crazy finish

The #10 LSU Tigers and Mississippi played a less-than-thrilling 57 minutes to start the game, but the final three minutes gave football fans plenty of excitement. Ole Miss led LSU 25-17 with 3:32 left and the LSU offense marched down field and scored a TD with 1:23 left in the game. LSU tried for two points and failed, but then things got really interesting.

LSU’s kicker Josh Jasper kicked a perfect onside kick that was recovered by Brandon LaFell on LSU’s 42 yard line with 1:17 left.

At this point…

-LSU had two timeouts left and

-Jasper kicked a 50-yard FG earlier in the game

Vick's Future In The NFL Is On The Line In 2009

Vick's Future In The NFL Is On The Line In 2009

Yesterday was quite a day for Michael Vick. Following a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Vick learned that he would be eligible to play by week 3. Vick could not celebrate for too long though, he had to prepare for the Eagles final pre-season game. In his first major action since being reinstated, Vick showed flashes of brilliance, but ultimately underwhelmed.  Assuming that Vick can get himself into “football-shape” by week 3, how much playing time is he going to receive? How will he be used?

NFL Season Preview: NFC East

Manning Returns...And So Does His O-Line

Manning Returns...And So Does His O-Line

In 2008, the NFC East was arguably the best division in the NFL. Both the Giants and the Eagles made the playoffs, and every team finished above .500.  Although it didn’t show up in his touchdown numbers, Eli Manning had his best season and led the Giants to a 12-4 record. The Eagles had an up-and-down season, but Donovan McNabb stayed healthy and the team won 9 games. Injuries to Tony Romo and Marion Barber caused the Cowboys to drop to third in the division. Even a mid-season trade for Roy Williams would not help the Cowboys. The Redskins finished last in the division going 8-8. While the Skins looked good initially, they collapsed down the stretch. In the off-season, the Giants stood firm while the Eagles and Redskins got stronger. With the Cowboys returning to health, can anyone overtake the Giants?

Michael Vick Debuts Tonight

Vick Makes His Debut Tonight

Vick Makes His Debut Tonight

After two years of waiting, Michael Vick will finally play in an NFL game tonight. Vick’s pre-season debut tonight will be the fist time Vick has played in the NFL since 2006, when he threw for 20 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. While much of the pre-season is meaningless to the causal NFL fan, Vick’s debut will undoubtedly be a top news story. However, it seems as though things may actually be quite tame in Philly tonight.

Guess Who’s Back?

And the Winner of the Michael Vick Lottery is...the Eagles?

And the Winner of the Michael Vick Lottery is...the Eagles?

Every one’s favorite Madden cover boy is back! Michael Vick signed a two year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles late Wednesday night. While many speculated that Vick would sign with a team this week, very few suspected it would be the Eagles. The Eagles already have a franchise quarterback in Donovan McNabb, and a myriad of playmakers on offense. So, why attract a media frenzy and sign Michael Vick?
