Sporting News Releases Top 100 NFL Players…O Boy!

Where did Adrian Peterson rank according to TSN Top 100 players?
The Sporting News came out with the 100 best players in the NFL. Lists seem to be the way the Sporting News gets attention. They came out with the 50 best coaches in sports just a month and a half ago and the top 100 college football teams just recently
Michael Vick Had An Interesting Day

Vick's Future In The NFL Is On The Line In 2009
Yesterday was quite a day for Michael Vick. Following a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Vick learned that he would be eligible to play by week 3. Vick could not celebrate for too long though, he had to prepare for the Eagles final pre-season game. In his first major action since being reinstated, Vick showed flashes of brilliance, but ultimately underwhelmed. Assuming that Vick can get himself into “football-shape” by week 3, how much playing time is he going to receive? How will he be used?
Michael Vick Debuts Tonight

Vick Makes His Debut Tonight
After two years of waiting, Michael Vick will finally play in an NFL game tonight. Vick’s pre-season debut tonight will be the fist time Vick has played in the NFL since 2006, when he threw for 20 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. While much of the pre-season is meaningless to the causal NFL fan, Vick’s debut will undoubtedly be a top news story. However, it seems as though things may actually be quite tame in Philly tonight.
Crossing the Line

Do We Hold Athletes Accountable?
by Lauren Ciarrachi
If you haven’t heard yet and you’ve been living under a rock for the past 36 hours, I suppose I should tell you-Michael Vick was just signed to the Philadelphia Eagles for 1.6 million dollars. Now that, that information is out for all to read I can begin with the real reason I decided to sit down on a Saturday night and write about our so-called “role models.”
Is Dungy The Best Expert On Vick?
I find the Michael Vick situation very interesting. I have been doing my fair share of reading up and following the Michael Vick story. The best article I have read about the Michael Vick situation was written by Colts blogger Joe Baker about former NFL Head Coach Tony Dungy possibly being too loyal to Vick. Baker writes:
Is the former Colts coach saying good things about Vick because he believes them, because he believes saying them will help Vick reform, or because he’s too loyal to the man he’s mentoring to talk bad about him?…Dungy has stuck behind Vick through the return process so far, but that may not mean Vick is progressing as a person. Dungy is loyal, possibly to a fault
Guess Who’s Back?

And the Winner of the Michael Vick Lottery is...the Eagles?
Every one’s favorite Madden cover boy is back! Michael Vick signed a two year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles late Wednesday night. While many speculated that Vick would sign with a team this week, very few suspected it would be the Eagles. The Eagles already have a franchise quarterback in Donovan McNabb, and a myriad of playmakers on offense. So, why attract a media frenzy and sign Michael Vick?
Goodell Suspends Stallworth…What A Shock!
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell decided to suspend Donte’ Stallworth for the 2009 NFL season as a result of Stallworth violating the NFL’s Substances of Abuse and Personal Conduct Policies. Is this decision surprising based on Goodell’s time as NFL Commissioner? No. Is it fair? That one is a bit trickier, which I will get to in a little bit.
Since Goodell has taken over for Paul Tagliabue as NFL Commissioner in September 2006, Goodell has been strict and consistent with his stance on inappropriate behavior. In 2007, with all the off-the-field scandals, Goodell announced a new NFL Conduct Policy. Including, taking away a first round pick from the Patriots and fining Head Coach Bill Belichick for videotaping the Jets on September 9th, 2007.

Eli Manning Contract Analysis Part 2
Is Eli Manning the worst highest paid player in NFL history?
I’m only going back to 2000 on this one, if you can find a worse player before 2000 that was the highest paid player in the NFL, then I will grant you a no-prize.
