Players At A Crossroads: Cadillac Williams

Cadillac Returns From Multiple Injuries This Season

Cadillac Returns From Multiple Injuries This Season

In 2004, Cadillac Williams helped lead the Auburn Tigers to a perfect 13-0 record and a number 2 ranking in the nation. Even in a timeshare with standout running back Ronnie Brown, Cadillac ran for over 1100 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Cadillac ended his collegiate career as the all time leader in touchdowns and rushing attempts at Auburn, and finished with the second most rushing yards in school history.  Cadillac impressed former Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden at the Senior Bowl, and was picked number 5 overall by the Buccaneers in the 2005 NFL Draft. Leftwich is playing for his fourth team in four years and is an equivalent to a replacement level player in the NFL, if not slightly worse. This isn’t a surprising move by any means, but it falls right in line with the Buccaneers as an organization.

Pre-Season QB Update

Sanchez Will Have his Chance Tonight!

Sanchez Will Have his Chance Tonight

The NFL pre-season has reached the halfway point. After tonight, every team in the NFL will have played two pre-season games. Tonight’s game, however, is an important one for rookie QB Mark Sanchez. Sanchez will get his first start of the pre-season against one of the toughest defenses in the NFL. A good showing by Sanchez could mean that he’s the guy for the New York Jets this season. A poor start, and the QB competition continues. With tonight being an important night for the young signal caller, let’s take a look at some of the other QB battles in the NFL.
